You probably have heard of Formula 1 car racing, but you may not have heard of Formula Gregg. What is Formula Gregg? Well, it is a competition to build the best car powered by rubber band. It took place during the science fair. We made four racing teams consisting of students from GIS. After receiving instructions from Grade 3 and 4 students, teams built rubber band powered cars out of wood. We measured how far the cars could go. The longest run of the day was over 9 meters. However, the record run was 11 meters set by a Grade 4 team. I will challenge future students to build a better car. Congratulations for your good effort, G3 and G4! It was really fun to work together.
