Our last class reader of the year, The Wild Robot, is a real page turner! Each week the students are assigned a certain number of chapters to read, and the book was initially expected to last us about a month. Although I anticipated that the students would enjoy reading the book since it is a best seller and it is praised by critics and readers alike, their enthusiasm caught me off guard. One student finished it within a week and is on her second read through, a few others asked if they could read ahead, and two students also bought the sequel. The book is THAT good! Reading class is fun 🙂
