To plant a garden is to believe in tomorrow. Audrey Hepburn
March signals the beginning of Spring and K3 was ready to celebrate a new season. Spring is associated with fresh flowers and refreshing rain and holidays like St. Patrick’s Day and Easter. We started our Spring celebrations by creating beautiful popsicle stick flowers and decorating colorful rainbows. These crafts helped us with our fine motor skills, hand eye coordination and color association.
Students also learned about St. Patrick’s Day, which is a cultural holiday associated with Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day was held on March 17 this year. The students enjoyed making hand-print leprechauns, pots of gold and collage clovers in honor of this holiday. Very soon we will celebrate Easter and the K3 students will have fun decorating their Easter baskets. The students are looking forward to going on an Easter Egg Hunt soon and collecting brightly colored eggs full of sweet treats.
