G4 Takes on Expository Writing

Good writing begins with good reading. Unknown

This week, our Grade 4 students worked on expository writing. They started by reading passages and practicing how to find the central idea and supporting details. This helped them understand how to organize their thoughts and write clear, focused ideas.

They were given topics to write about and began drafting their essays step by step. After editing and making improvements, they typed their final drafts. They also learned how to choose a good picture and write captions to match the content. This structured approach guided them through the writing process and built their confidence.

The results? Great stories that showed their hard work and progress!
