The past two weeks gearing up for the Science Fair K4 has been going over various science activities and crafts. This time we delved into the Solar System, our place that we call home here in the universe. We talked about the individual planets, our sun, our moon, and the expanses of space. After adventuring through the cosmos together we then did an interactive group craft where everyone helped make a picture of our Solar System! We started by first painting space, and then each student got to make one of the celestial bodies that makes up our star system. The kids had a lot of fun, especially when finally getting to see it all come together! Maybe we have a couple of future astronauts or astronomers in our midst. Either way, it was a fun filled space adventure.
