To Infinity and Beyond!
This year’s summer school theme is SPACE! K5 students are really enjoying learning about our solar system. There’s so much to learn about the sun, the moon and the planets. We are also learning about the stars and constellations. SPACE is amazing!
Our activity this week was making our favorite planets. We started by making a circular structure using balloons, newspaper, glue and water. Students loved securing strips of newspapers with glue onto the balloon. After leaving the structure to dry, we then popped the balloon that was inside. We were left with a perfect planet shape! Students decided on colours and patterns that they wanted for their planet. The K5 students really loved making their own planets, and they all turned out very colorful and pretty. Another fun week was had in K5 class summer school!
