A Day at Yoyogi Park

One of the most important days of my life was when I learned to ride a bicycle. Michael Palin

On a beautiful sunny day at the beginning of June, right after finishing the last math MAP test of the year, the fifth and sixth graders rode a train to Yoyogi Park. For an hour the students enjoyed cycling on the 1.8km-long bike trail that goes around the park. Those who had never been on a bicycle before were guided and given advice by the teachers and tried their best. One of them really got into it, and when she came to school a few days after she proudly announced that she had practiced some more with her parents and could now ride a bicycle properly. Her teachers were so proud of her! The students then had a picnic before playing Frisbee, jump rope, and soccer. They continued their day with a visit to Meiji Jingu and made a last stop to eat a small desert before heading back to school. Such a lovely day!
