Adventure Cave
During the recent Festival for Fundraising, the GIS Student Council hosted an exciting, experiential event, “Adventure Cave”. The attraction involved exploring a dark cave (a classroom) with various, realistic obstacles throughout the den. Over the past month, the students worked from scratch to plan and organize the event. The group brainstormed the idea, developed the concept, and then made a presentation of their ideas to school leadership. After some discussion a decision was made to fully develop and host the attraction. At the same time, the group learned about caves, the natural environment around caves, cavemen and cave paintings in class.
Many people attended and enjoyed the day, making it a very successful event! Today the Student Council decided to donate a part of the fundraising to The Nature Conservation Society.
Good job, students!! What a great example you are of creative and generous citizens!
