Community Halloween Parade, organized by Jiyugaoka Business Association
Gregg International School kicked off this year’s Halloween by leading the annual Jiyugaoka Community Halloween Parade on Sunday. The warm afternoon sun shined upon many dressed up children and parents. From classic princesses, witches, vampires and pumpkins to newer Disney characters, villains, and superheroes, all were here in Jiyugaoka.
We even had an original Gigantic Grape! I hope you saw that. It was really creative. After receiving their limited Halloween Trick-or-Treat bags, our very own Belle and Gaston (from Beauty and The Beast) took the GiS family and friends around Jiyugaoka for some candies, balloons, and stickers galore. Our regular GiS students helped non-GiS friends say “Trick-or-Treat” in English in order to fill up their bags.
By the end of the parade, everyone was a PRO TRICK-or-TREATER! After taking a gigantic group photo with the whole Jiyugaoka community, the kids and parents went on their own to continue Trick-or-Treating at other spots all over the town. Gregg has been an integral part of Jiyugaoka for over fifty years. It was an honor to be invited to this special event that has established as a Jiyugaoka tradition.
A big THANK YOU! to all participants who came here today. Thanks to you, we could celebrate such a great event that reflects how the GiS family extends to an even bigger family that we call Jiyugaoka! Now we call that TREAT-and-TREAT! This community parade was organized by Jiyugaoka business association. Thank you very much for everything. It was a Halloween parade to remember for our children.
